Theres a motor in question that i might order that has very light rust in the valvetrain. What would be your guys advice on something like that? The rust will go away after a few mile son the motor? Dont even buy it?

THis is on a S14 Valvetrain.

Nevermind, disregard the question as the motor is not light on rust, the first lobe has about 5/8s of the visible lobe covered in nice rust. : /.

So ill be finding a motor elsewhere.

Means the motor sat in weather with the valve cover off. The head and block will be ok as their aluminum, but when the water got into the sump and sat, it could spell a ruined crank.

Assuming this is a total block. otherwise you could conceivably save the head with new camshafts and the like, but then you're talking extra expense, and the fact you need to source S14 cams for VVT.
