Pad remaining is trivial, what shape pads are in is important. Pads can disintegrate depending on lifespan gone and conditions run into.
Do a brake overhaul.
Remove pads, caliper, sliders. Inspect pistons, O rings, channels , clean everything, lube what should be lubed and make sure to use the proper grease, 2 kinds needed, look in the manual.
Verify piston/cylinder operation, push piston into cylinder, watch for fluid going back to reservoir and top up after inspecting.
The channels may need cleaning where the rubbers are located, see crap and remove it. It pistons do not mobve in/out easily dismantle and lean up. The backing of your pads is rusted so may the cylinders and piston surfaces. They must be clean, use fine emery and brake fluid, then clean and inspect, no pitting allowed.
After all is clean check your pad surfaces for cracks, very tiny ones, if there replace. With good pads, existing or new reassemble everything both sides.
With wheels off and a helper to listen put the brakes on hard with car raised...any squeaks, no...solved.
Adjust rear brakes and clean.
Now top up brake fluid to max no over fills allowed
Test brakes, test e brake
Test vacuum boost
Test brake peddle, stop, brake brake start car, stop car what is brake peddle doing, check manual for results
