Runs rough just above idle and then good after 1500rpm

I have been doing a lot of Google searches on this problem and it looks like a lot of people experience the same problem, however there seams to be 50 different answers to it.

Basically the car feels like it is running out of gas when you pull away from a stop light say and then gets better once the revs reach a certain point. Its a real pain moving away from a stop light and the cars dying all the time. Idles no problem. I have changed the fuel filter and air filter. I have only had the car a short time and dont know how to get all these codes and things. Also car seams to pop and splutter when decelerating.

My car is a 87 300zx non turbo automatic.

check timing

make sure all your plug wires are pressed firmly onto the plugs.

in the end, it's probably related to your air flow meter.

When you step on the gas (and i mean have it half floored) does it barely want to go? If so i'm having the same problem. I bought NGK plugs and plug wires and replaced the old ones. The only thing i haven't done is change the Cap and Rotor as AZ-ZBum suggested. The Fuel Filter appears to be fairly new and as far as the Airflow meter that could be a possibility with mine as well. Being mine is an 87 Auto Turbo. Someone alittle ways back had suggested a clogged Catalytic Converter.
