I am putting a hitch and tail light converter for my 01 Pathfinder but the only problem is is running the wires. The instructions for the converter is to plug into the factory lights and run the wires through the grommets and then their is a driver side grommet to run the wires down through and then their is suppose to be a passenger side and you connect the wires to the converter box outside the vehicle. I cannot find the passenger side grommet at all. I have not got to look really hard but I did look around and could not see it at all. It is the grommets where the wires run from the inside to the outside of the truck. This is the instructions. http://www.hopkinstowingsoluti...5.pdf and the illustration is fig 3. it is not detailed enough to show where they are.

Good ole' Uhal did mine, they run between the body and the frame. Looks cheap, I did move them behind the rear hatch seal... you can still see about an inch per side.

There is no grommet for the existing light wires?

If there is no grommet, then just use the hole that the other wire pass through to the tail light.

Make sure to wrap with several layers of electrical tape to help prevent rubbing through just as a precautionary measure.

It appears that the connector is put in line with the facotry light harness.
