Running way to Rich
Running way to Rich
Ok 1984 300zx AE and its running so rich that its burning my eyes. Senor light on dash is on but no code in ecu. Car will run but chokes itself out at idle. Throttle switch seems to be working on TB and if you unplug AAC it will idle up for abit but will start flooding itself again, any ideas would be helpful . Thanx.

Check the coolant temp sensor.Even the pins on the connector may be corroded.

The coolant temp sensor is a very good possibility. If you wind replacing it make sure you replace the connector to it too. It is probably green with corrosion. I had 2 84's with that problem. Oh, and make sure you put some dielectric water-proofing grease on the connector when you do. I also had an airflow meter do the same thing before.

switched that first and did not improve but thanks for the responses still working fine.
