Ok, so I have had my 93' 240 a year now ( there abouts ) and since day one it has idled kinda rough, unless the AC is on.. when at a light it still bounces sorta ( like the motor is shaking )...Now the car is running VERY BAD! With new spark plugs, it is NO better, I know it needs a catalitc converter but I don't think that is the whole problem. You have to rev the shiz out of it so it does hesitate in the next gear.....My MPGs must be some where aroun 10 too HELP HELP HELP! I get my licence on monday and play on getting it fixed and don't want to get raped!

Maybe it's time to recommend the miracle worker... SEAFOAM!

check your throttle chamber for carbon deposits. if you clean it reset your base idle and check your timing. i think these guys use something called seafoam to clean there throttle and intake chambers do a search for seafoam. i have seen several mentions of it. there may even be a sticky on it in 240sx technical. i usually just use carb clean and a nylon tooth brush to clean it. dont use a steel brush cause it'll scar the chamber.

at the end of the tube thats connecter to your air filter box. check around the plate inside if it has black silt looking stuff packed around the edges you need to clean it off.
