My CA has all the sudden startes running very rich(to the point of bogging down and black soot coming out tail pipe. Jeff at 240sx motoring who does all the work on my car says he has checked all the sensors, injectors not sticking, rewired my maf tried a new maf and still doing the same thing. rpms range from 200 to 2000 while car is not moving. ECU has not burn marks in it could it be in the ECU? Thanks for your help. motor was rebuilt 2 years ago and has been running fine.

What FPR do you have? Fuel pump?

The FPR might have taken all it can and is giving too much pressure to the injectors and running rich.

I would most definetely look into it. Sounds lilke your problem and has happened many times to people.

I have a walbro 225 and a nismo fpr both are on the car about 5 years.

Watch the NISMO FPR. They fail and when they fail, it usually starts rich and go lean in the higher rpm. Bruce, trust me on this one. Other things to be aware of is the AFM's hot wire is probably dirty or take some carburetor cleaner and attack your intake manifold; especially where the butterfly valve assembly splits up. Make sure the water temperature sensor is on point as well.
