running to rich

ok my 240 has a sr2odet redtop engin swap and now it seems to be running to rich cus it is puting out black smoke and i just put new spark plugs in so can any one help me out and let me know how to make it run no so rich

need more info on the engine... what mods are done to it, which maf you are using, hows your o2 sensor, are you using an afc etc. one thing you could do right away is re-check all your vacuum lines and make sure you don't have any boost leaks

oh yeah and did you get the right plugs i.e.- correct heat/gap???

Check base timing, O2 sensor function and make sure you have no vacuum leaks. Redtops tend to run rich without the AIV anyway, but usually the problems have to do with the above

ya i got the same plugs that were in the car and befor i got them i made sure on line that they were the right ones but i dono the guy i got the car off of use to work for nissan and he was goign to come to my house and help me with it and hopfully get it to run liek it ran when i first got it i hope
