Here's a few pictures of how I ran the speaker wire from the trunk up to the front door speakers.

This is a picture of the gromet that you pass the wire(s) through to get into the trunk. Note that there is one on each side.

Here I ran the wire under the carpet right up against the body. To get the carpet up you have to remove the "door sill". You can do this by just popping it up, it's held on by clips. Then you can pull the carpet up and back out of the way.

This is the black "plate" thing that the wires(OEM) go underneath. I decided to remove it and run the wire underneathe it too. There are only three short screws holding it on, you can kind of see them in the picture. Note that I only removed this one because the other ones would have required me to remove the front seat.

Here's everything put back in. You can't even tell there's anything under there.

Note, to get the wire from the rear to the front you have to kind of "shove" it up along the base of the seat buckle. Then you have to reach back from the front, possibly with a needle nose pliers if you have large hands, and grab the wire and pull it through.

They make things called "snakes" or leaders (long thin flat wire that is stiff enough to push through) that you fish through, tape your wire to the end of, and then just pull your wire. Thus the phrase "pulling wires". It works similar to the string in house conduit that you pull wires through.

Yeah, but that would cost more money . I just kind of flattened my hand and was able to grab the wire and pull it through.

Ok, I just did the driver's side. I was able to just force the wire thorugh from the back to the front. So no need to have to grab and pull it through

You no what the worst is....Getting a 00 gauge wire from the engine compartment...through the gromet right behind the glove compartment....then throught the inside of the car where wires are run under the kick panals and all the way to the trunk for the battery! haha that was a chore

Don't worry. I'll be doing a write-up on something similar to that, but I'll only be using 2 or 4 awg sinse I'll be moving the battery to the trunk.

Note, it appears that you have plenty of room to run wired through the passenger compartment. You just have to take out at least one of the front seats. That way you can remove those black panel things that are under the carpet.

Q45Tech, has mentioned before that there is a "channel" to run a large enough cable from front to rear for battery relocation.

PMQ - if you put your battery in the trunk, I think you should have something bigger than 2 or 4 gauge running back up to the engine compatrment.

To put the battery in the trunk you have to have at least a 0 gauge wire. I pulled the kick panels right where you get out of the car and there was a plastic channel there for running it. It was just big enough for the 00 gauge, but it was tight.

Nope, don't really need 00. The way you can tell is by looking at the size of wire connecting the alternator to the battery. Then go one size up due to the increased distance. That would give you 2awg.

Zinkie: That's the channel that I used to run the speaker wire.

Well for safe measure I used the 0 gauge. Also on my car two different 2 gauge wires run into a little fuse holder that then connects to the battery. I just assumed that if it required 2 separate 2 gauge wires that a 0 gauge would be needed if you are only going to run 1 wire. Once i got the 0 gauge to the back i then split it back out into 2 gauge wires again in order to use the same battery hookup.
