is it goo to run rich? wouldnt more gasoline mean more power? anyways, i got an aem short ram intake and switced out my muffler to universal type, then i started getting more and more pops from the exhaust, not to mention i think it got more severe after addin cold air extension and then headers. should i tri to get back to normal? if so, how do i ?

a slightly rich ratio is not bad, you will get a little more power although it will decrease your gas mileage. if you run too rich however, you lose engine power, foul your plugs, and your air/fuel mixture wont ignite completely.

the popping noise you hear from your exhaust is because of backpressure in the exhaust system.

The popping sound is back-pressure, No just because you add more fuel does not mean you will add power. You must also allow more air flow as well to acheive power, although it is safer to run rich then lean. you should only suffer in the gas milage department. Trying adjusting the timing. 240s love a two degree advance.

I believe running slightly rich, you will actually lose power. You would gain a bit of power running slightly lean, but you risk detonation with any lean condition, so it is safer to sacrifice a few horsepower, and run a little rich.
