Running Rich??

My sohc is continually running rich. I've cleaned the MAF.. I was running it without a therm for a little bit but it now has one and is running and idleing fine.. It shoot a little carbon out the tail pipe "sometimes" but not most of the time.. A little white smoke as well when I get into it..

Side note.. When your motor is running smooth shouldn't you be able to open the radiator cap and then crank, and make sure the coolant is flowing well? Mine is not flowing well.. It shoots out of the cap a little.. Any and all HELP is appreciated.. and REV D I searched and I only found 1 thread about running rich.. Thanks..

Check the injectors.

Why would you open the radiator cap when the car is running?

Squeeze the coolant hose to check the pressure.

check the basics. injectors(id do later down the line) CTS, O2, spark plugs, air filter, cap rotor... etc

dont pull the cap off when hot, theres a reason they make warning stickers. the reason you open it and crank is while your checking a headgasket issue

Not .. I typed it in wrong, so for4 anyone I mislead (on accident) I searched once again and found alot.. So thanks..

And I meant open, and then crank.. Not Crank, build pressure, and open.. LOL.. But I guess I can see how you might have misunderstood me..
