Got my rebuilt engine back and it's running super rich. It's running so rich that it's really hard to start and you can smell gas after you run it.

I'm running a stock ECU on a stock system with two exhaust cams adn 10 PSI of boost. (My crappy eBay turbo died as well, so I'm also burning oil. I'm going to get a good one to replace it.)

I'm trying to see what I have to do to troubleshoot my fuel problem. After doing some research, it seems like it could be:

1) bad injector

2) bad MAF

3) bad ECU

Any other ideas?

I was thinking about trying to ditch get a piggyback system so I could ditch the MAF. What's the cheapest option for this?

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I did a search.

Since you are using the standard ECU, have you checked it for Codes. If its flooding and causing start issues my first guess would be a faulty Coolant Temp Sensor. You can also check the Ohms on the dropping resistor as it has to do a lot with the injectors.

Use the FSM for codes diagnostics. If it gives code 55 let us know to give more suggestions.

Check the codes and come back. It does sound like a bad injector though.
