hey everyone, got a problem with my CA... its running rich, all stock internals stock turbo, put a walbro on it and have an adjustable fpr, have it set to about 36 psi with engine off by going with specs from driftopia. i didnt feel right measuring it at idle because my car likes to idle up and down a little and i thought that might affect it, would it help if i turned my boost up a little, its running about 6-7 psi, when i got the car it had the stock wastegate and was running around 12 psi all the time. i put on an adjustable wastegate and cranked it to 6-7. would it help if i turned it up to 9 to get rid of the richness? i get terrible mileage right now as well, getting about 19.... its pretty easy to adjust the boost on it, dont have an A/F meter on it yet cuz im kinda poor, it has blown out tension rods and bald tires that come first on the money table. any help would be great.

Turning the boost up won't solve your problem. Check the factory service manual to trouble shoot for running rich. Also you should first check all your vacuum lines. Check them really well and try to listen/feel for leaks.

Check the O2 sensor, and read the FSM. Check for VAC leaks.

^What these guys said. Check your vac lines and such. Don't forget the little one under the throttle body.

First thing I would do is check your ECU for codes. Mine ran rich like really bad and it was the good ole knock sensor wiring, or lack there of. Its puts your car into limp mode and floods it with gas.

well i just fixed the knock sensor about a month ago and that code is no longer in the ecu, havent gone back over the vac lines again though, i just thought it was weird that my car had so much boost when i got the engine, i had to crank it down, and my fuel pressure at idle is around 30 psi which according to the forums is low even though the car runs rich
