I know this topic has been posted before, but not everyone has the same problem. Here is mine

First problem I had was a bad ignition coil and distrubitor. I have replaced those and timing is dead on.

Now my problem is that every time I go to start, I seem to be flooded, I can clear it out by disconnecting the injectors and restarting, then it will die. I then reconnect the injectors and it starts just fine. Now that it is started I have white smoke, which I think means it is running rich.

I read somewhere you can check the voltage at the o2 sensor to see if the engine is lean of rich and it reads at .93 volts. I assume this is a reading of being rich( please correct me if wrong).

I would really just like to get the car running with no problem, if that is possible.

Also, the car is a 91 240sx / RMS13

Thanks,

Jason

did a trouble code scan reveal leaky fuel injectors?

No trouble codes at all. that is what is throwing me in a loop.

Is there any way I can adjust how rich / lean the engine runs, or is it all computer controlled?

The mixture is all contolled by the computer and as far as i know there is no way to adjust it without getting into aftermarket things. Now there are alot of sensors that play a part in the ECU determining ther A/F mixture, the big ones are MAF sensor, O2 sensor, and the Coolant temp sensor.

well I got the car up and running nice and smooth now. It was the O2 and the Coolant temp sensor.

Now all I need to do is replace the egr to pass smog and I am ready to rock.

got a compressor w/ tool attachments? remove plugs, use compressed air to blow the crap out & let the rest evaporate out of the plug holes... <shrugs>

what I did was remove the fuse for the fuel pump and then just kept cranking. The car ends up starting for a few seconds and burns up the remaining fuel.

You can do that, you can also release the fuel pressure remove the plugs then crank the engine and it will expell excess fuel/vapours.

I didn't buy the car to be a drifter, or to swap the motor to the sr or ca. I would just like to keep the ka in there and do what whatever basic bolt ons to improve hp when it comes to that.
