running rich and rough idle

i have a 1993 240 sx se. it is running rich and has a rough idle. i have changed the plugs. that helped alot but i still hear it back fire when i engin brake. when i start the car i can also smell gas. where do i start fo fix this problem.

this sounds like a problem with the mass air flow sensor.
