I decided to get all new injectors for my KA24DE. After I installed them and turned the car on, cylinder two was left fully open, and I was shooting unburned gas out of the tail pipe. I decided to replace that injector with a known good inector, and it ran fine the first time I turned the car on. The next time I started the car up, the same injector was not spraying any gas at all. I've tried the new injector and the old injector several times, and I have gotten the same result that it is not spraying fuel.

I have 160-170 compression on all cylinders. I have checked the voltage from the ECU to the injector, the resistance at the injector, and the wiring to the injector, and all check out to be fine. I just replaced my distributor rotor, cap, and wires, and plugs, so I don't have a spark issue. I've replaced the ECU with two others, and neither fixed the issue.

Why is cylinder two not firing? I haven't pulled the fuel rail to see if the injector is working or not, but I am 95% sure that it is not. I was pretty sure that it was an electrical problem, but I cant think of a sensor or anything that would cause one injector to not work. Any ideas?

Have you checked the connector at the injector? It could be dirty or loose. Or both. It then would messure fine but still not work. Take a good look with a bright lihgt and compare it to a working injector.

Also double check your grounds and check to make sure you don't hav ea wire shorted to ground that should not be.

Good luck.
