I just did a tune-up about a month and a half ago, replaced cap, rotor, plugs wires... ect.I was driving on I95 yesterday when the car's power just dropped sharply, so I stumble off the highway and make my way home to find that #1 isn't firing. I pull the plug and check it... looks OK, swap it with #3 same probem #1 is not firing. So it's definetly not the plugs, swap the wires between #1 and #2. Same problem #1 is not firing, so I've ruled out the plugs and wires, the cap and rotor are fine no cracks. So whats next?

Thanks in advanced

Ajax get's the cookie! :D

I started to think about the injector right before I read the post, then after I read it it made me consider the possibility more. Like Big Red said, "...or broken valve but I doubt it", I too thought that. I mean it's only got 80k mi. on her and ran really smoove before the injector failed. So i called up the boys at Pinnacle and overnighted an injector (great guys), put it in after work and voila she's all betta! :thumbup

Lemme just say that it was a ***** to replace and I got wounds to prove it! By far one of the most awkward and difficult things I've done, but i'm glad I did because it brought me closer to my car.

Ok bad news. Was going well for 2 days, now all the sudden this morning fuel is leaking from the top of the injector!Damn I can't catch a break! It only came with the lower o-ring, to be honest I didn't even know there was an upper one until I got the injector out of the rail, so I guess it's the old upper ring that's creating the leak. I can't think of what else it could be, the car runs great with the new injector... it's just leaking. If anyones got any other suggestions, by all means chime in.

I got a real bad headache now... this sucks!

Update:

Ok so I picked up an upper o-ring a autozone first this morning, big sale of the day for them, took out the injector and the old o-ring was torn to shreds... big surprise :rolleyes.Put the new one on popped it back in the rail, took her out for a test ride and she's good to go, no more leaky! :D

Gonna give the guys at Pinnacle a call and just let them know that they only gave me a new lower o-ring and not the upper... just for future reference.

Thanks for the support guys!
