running off of 3 cylinders

for the past few weeks ive been running really lean @ 12psi and untuned. My result has been bad detonation with cracked spark plugs around the white housing. When this happens the motor sounds like a sti motor and backfires going into boost. car runs fine without boosting .Well now its back to stock boost and i still have my problem (sounding like i run off 3 cylinders). I narrowed my new problem down that im not getting problems out of#1 cylinder. I replace all my spark plugs and i took them all out after driving and it looked like the spark plug (in cylinder 1) didnt even conduct anything. i checked the coilpack and they are fine, the car starts up fine so it cant be injectors.i took the coilpack out in cylinder 1 and started the car and the problem didnt seem to worsen stayed at 600rpm. Taking coilpack in any other cylinder does worsen the problem.So it probably electrical or ecu maybe any other thougts out there?

that sounds just like the problem I had with my first SR, but it was the coilpacks. I took four new ones off of a car that I knew ran fine and it cleared it up...I know you said youve check but that is an easy way to be sure. If not also have someone check the cam angle sensor, if it is a few degrees you may see the same symptoms.

Was your motor tuned and the problems are altering your tuning?

i had the same thing happen this week on cyl 2... it ended up being the ecu. but try the ignitor chip first.
