Running light/turn signal wiring issues

I've been having issues with the front turn signal wiring since the car has 3 wires for the lights and I only have 2 wires for them to go to on the turn signals. I have the JDM Smoked corner lights with the 2 wire pigtails that were bought from Z1 Motorsports. I attempted to wire them up and they both worked until you turned the headlight switch on. Then one still works as a turn signal and the other one only works as a running light.

I tried re-wiring them and now only the turn signal portion works. No matter how I try to wire it, they do not work as running lights at all. Not only that, but my tail lights do not work as running lights either.

I think I may have answered this before. But, you're better off going back to the USDM marker lights. All you have to do is grind off one of the tabs and that socket mounts solid into the JDM smoked lights. I did this over a year ago with no issues.

Unfortunately I do not have the USDM marker lights. I bought the Z with the JDM lights already installed but not wired up. I'll have to find some from part outs or salvage. I actually found what you are talking about on Zmods forum after I posted.

yea, it's a 5 minute mod and works well. I find someone parting out any Z32 with intact front, you should be able to get those pretty easily.

Something else concerns me though. After completely unwiring the JDM lights, I still have no running lights whatsoever in the rear. I've read about a tail light sensor that can be wired around, but I'm unsure if such a fix actually applies to my problem. As I said in the original post, before wiring up these JDM lights, I had rear running lights. Ideas?
