I searched for the last few days on here and couldn't realy find what i was looking for, if you have any advise for me thanks in advance.I have a 89 s13 with s13 redtop in it with FMIC, stock turbo, Nismo fpr, walbro fuel pump, JGY underdrive pulley, enjuku hot pipe with HKS SSQV, RSR GT2 catback, test pipe, Project silvia dp, greddy turbo elbow, Koyo radiator with elec. fan, small trator battery, the car is showing lean on my autmeter a/f gauge i know of people having problems with them so i took out my plugs to check them and they are def. lean. white color. the car runs perfect at idle, it will boost to about 10psi. i have never been in another sr car before but it seemed to pull pretty good to me, but i have stopped driving it until i figure this out. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. seems like everyone with this fuel set up on stock turbo is very rich i obviously am not. any ideas? i was wondering if my timing was maybe too advanced, injectors could be not opening all the way which gives me the fuel at idle but not at higher rpm, also is it possible something is with my ecu or my small battery not being enough power for the ecu. the battery is 400 CCA. i know it would be nice to just get a wideband a/f gauge but i can't really afford one right now. thanks. if there is anything else you need to know about it just ask. thank s for your help.

Well like you have said the autometer a/f gaueg is inaccurate and depends how and where you compare your spark plugs to. Try comparing your spark plugs to NGK's website, they have pictures up how of spark plugs are suppose to look like.

Check your timing!

the a/f gauge is going to be in the lean range no matter what till you get the wideband. i made that same mistake. way to spend 70 bucks eh?
