lately i have noticed when i get on the accelerator randomly the car seems to slow down(91 240sx) then it will accelerate this is a muual transmission car. so when i pulled the spark plugs to see whats up i find that they are white like someone dipped them in flour. tried checking the resistance of the tps but could only gett volt(maybe it was amp) readings but no ohm readings does this mean i found the culprit or do i just not know wat im doing w/ this multimeter. also the multimeter keeps saying short but in reading the maual it says hat occurs when resistance is under 50 ohms. any help would be appreciated.

You can't take resistance readings on a complete circuit! You'll damage your meter. The voltage reading is the only useful one AFAIK. Not sure what it should be, maybe the manual has nominal values at idle. Only take resistance readings on isolated, disconnected hardware...i.e., unplug the MAF first.

the resistance should varry between 2-10 ohms between idle and wot. the mafs readings were 1 volt higher than they should be according to the book, and the o2 sensor seemed lazy while i was testing that.

just trying to give the whole story as it comes to me
