Ok, there seems many ideas on how to treat a new motor so how did forum members drive their new Murano for the first 2000 km's ?

Nothing special...I just drove mine normally. I never beat my cars or drive like I'm auditioning for NASCAR.

First, always go by the owner's manual. and having said that I can't remember what mine says. if I recall it doesn't really say anything about a break in period. Second, I used to work for an OEM piston ring and cylinder sleeve manufacturer and part of the manufacturing process was to hone every ring and every cylinder so that it was already broken in. So, for those components there wasn't any break in required. Not but suspect that other components that used to require a break in period now come already broken in from the OEMs.
