I went out for dinner last night and the car was running perfectly. When I got out from dinner and started the car it was running very rough, like only 3 cylinders were firing. I limped it home and chose to worry about it the next day.

I have changed the plugs and that didn't change anything. I pulled the number 1 injector plug off and it seemed to run even worse so I have deduced that cylinder 1 is working fine. After I got that far I ran out of time and had to call a ride to get to work so I won't be able to mess with it until around 8-9pm tonight.

It seems that the problem is probably electrical so I'm assuming it's a dead coilpack or a faulty ignitor chip. Does anybody have a better idea of what the problem could be? I really need to have this repaired by Monday since my job is 100% commission and I won't be able to bum rides forever.

Have you checked and made sure all the coil packs are pluged in?(I had a coil pack come unpluged one time and my car ran like crap. It took forever to figure out what had caused it to do that even though it was something that simple)

I would also check your intercooler piping for leaks

I changed the plugs and everything was ok before and after. They were perfectly colored so at least it's running well.

Funny how if I asked how to install an RB 20 people who have never done it would tell me exactly how. But, I ask a simple question and only one person responds.

Internet diagnostics tend to be quite hard, especially when:

1) we cant see the car in person2) have never experienced the problem ourselvesand 3) dont have a very detailed description of whats happened to it

A car that doesnt work well could have one of 1,000,001 different problems out there. Your guess is as good as mine and I dont like giving useless advice. Take it to a mechanic, find out whats wrong and fix it yourself. Then next time someone else has the same problem you can give them advice. The info here is only as good as the people that stick around to tell it. You could also give the place that sold you your motor a call and ask for some technical assistence.

I figured that somebody who knows how SR's run better than I do might have some input. I'll try another site.

I thought I answered a similar question like this earlier this morning somewhere, but check if your main coil pack plug behind the engine and intake manifold is plugged in tightly.

Somebody gave me that answer on another forum already. It was probably you.
