Today I was driving some friends and all of a sudden the right running board snapped off and hung from the chassis. I was able to kick it into place but it's very loose. Time for the deletion of the rusted out running boards. I want to do this but I have no clue how to attempt this. Underneath I see a bunch of rusted bolts, hangers, and screws. Where do I start? Also how do I get to the bolts between the top of the running board and the car's body?

Use PB Blaster to help loosen rusted bolts. It's just 6 (I think 12mm) bolts and they're off, I removed them in 15 minutes on my Pathfinder, and put them back on in 20 a few months later.

I had to get a propane torch when I was refabricating mine. Thats how stuck the bolts were! If your boards were so bad that they are falling off...I can't imagine how much harder it will be for you mind you mine were pretty much ready to fall off.
