If it is the coolant sensor that goes to the ECU then it could definitely cause a good amount of problems. Change that bad boy. Go get a KA one right now its the same.

If he doesn't buy your blockoff plate, let me know. I might take it off your hands if the price is right. :)

OM3GA is that blockoff plate already drilled for the Greddy manifold or is it just cut to shape? If it's already got the holes drilled for a Greddy, it won't work on an ISIS seeing as how ISIS jacked up the bolt pattern.

found the problem, bad ground. okay so the car has been sitting in my driveway for about 2 1/2 months. when i cranked the car its been smoking really bad. is it possible the gas is bad? i only had about an 1/8 of a tank in it. the smoke is white.

white smoke is usually coolant. Check your oil and see if it's milky. Sounds like you may have a blown headgasket. You can also smell the exhaust and see what it smells like.

Does the smoke stay there as long as the car is running or only during warm-up? Also, your headgasket may not have seated correctly...

If it's only during warm-up, it could be your valve seals... If it's all the time, you're burning coolant which means your headgasket probably didn't seat.. Did you try smelling it? Typically you can smell coolant in the exhaust. A compression test will most likely give a little more insight on this..

Yes it is but its 1/8" aluminum and is easy to file. I guess it all depends on how off it is :gotme

Glad to hear you got your problem somewhat sorted out though OP. :D

Yes that will make your car run like complete s***. Clean the connectors and see where that gets you. Otherwise you may need to replace the CAS.

pull the coil out and install a plug wire between the coil and spark plug. theres a dwell time in th coil and u wont get it timed properly connecting to the trigger wire from the ignitor to the coil. just grab an old ka plug wire, shove one end in the coil boot and the other end on the spark plug

that worked. okay so the results but before that fyi 264 cams adv. 2.5 deg. according to the timing im just about 7.5 10deg. off?! when i went to adjust the cas it was adjusted all the way counter. so i could only go clockwise. when i did that the car sound like it was running on 2 cyl. i guess i should open 'er up.
