Question: Has anyone run the 8.5 width rims on the front? I have a G35x and would like wide rims all around.

Wouldn't think there would be an issue. As long as the tire doesn't hit the shock or doesn't rub during turning.

You could try just one 18x8.5" and check for clearance. As long as it doesn't bump in to drive shafts or some other front driveline/suspension it would probably be functional. I wonder if Nissan had a reason for the narrower front shoes. It would make tire rotations and replacement easier. Raise your hand if you always wear out the rears well before the fronts. I do rotate about every 5k.
