I have heard of people have problems with floppy bumpers without the support on. I would much rather cut it than take it out. Im leaving mine in.

Like was previously state, it is there for a reason.

Its there because the government has done research to make your car safe. "Crash Testing". But in japan they have smaller bumper supports on alot of there cars compared to the US. To me its worth getting rid of. If I wreck and eat engine then I deserve that.

It just seems like a no-brainer to me. Heck, what if you slide off the road and hit a mailbox or a person or something while "innocently having fun" in your car? I wouldn't want a mailbox or a knee cap (or torso, depending on how big the person is) to take out my 700 dollar intercooler. If I can add any insurance or protection to my investment than I will, no matter how minimal.

Not to mention there are alot of rural highways out here where you typically go 70+ and redneck dogs are all over the place.

I just trimmed a bit for the FMIC and left it on. I ran without it for a couple of days and noticed my bumper sagged something nasty to where I could see under the headlights into the engine bay. If you look in the sig you can see where I tried to fix it with weather stripping but in the end I just decided to run the brace cause it looks so much better. That and there is not significant weight loss to where it would make a difference.
