okay so i have seen the post on how to use them as drls. in canada that would be great but in the states we dont have to have drls and i dont really care for them. could anyone explain to me how to make my foglights work with the parking lights that way they work with no headlights, low beam, and high beam, but i will still be able to use the factory switch to turn them off. even if i cant turn them off it would be fine.

you just wanna be cool like those trucks that drive with just their fog lights?

if you go into the relay box under the hood, you can hotwire the supply voltage going into the fog lamp relay (use a multimeter or wiring schematic to determine which wire to cut). it's currently connected to the headlamp circuit, which means it only gets power when the headlamps are on. if you run a jumper wire to ignition voltage, you can turn the fog lamps on whenever the key is ON. if you run the jumper wire to battery voltage, you can turn them on whenever you want, including when the key is OFF.

nice reply alex pretty much nailed it "if you run a jumper wire to ignition voltage, you can turn the fog lamps on whenever the key is ON. " ^^ thats the way i did it - no chance of forgetting the fogs and draining the battery. picture in signature.
