There are rumors of a VK45de powered G35 as well...

I am waiting very patiently. Carlos Goshen (nissan ceo) said it will debut stateside either 2007 or 2008. 911 killer for much less. It will probably be the biggest and most outrageous expenditure of my young life, one I will be paying off until I am much much older.. I gotta have it..

I'll live in a one bedroom apt, rather then buying a house.. That's how important this car is to me..

Yes, it should be around 70k.. God it better not be anymore.. I'm already going to have to finance a huge amount of it..

wait a min. I heard it's not going to me THAT MUCH! 70K that's outrageous...! If nissan/infiniti is going to bring a sports car like that, price has to be average were people can actually buy. 70K? Geez that's going to be high insurance!

It's expensive, but not outrageous...

They are bringing out brand new tech for this car..

I wish it was only 50, but I think it will be 70

Buy a good house in a neighborhood where real estate appreciates at a good rate...sell house in 2-3 years and MAKE ENOUGH money from selling the house to buy the car- OUTRIGHT.

Real estate makes money (if you buy smart).

Cars ALWAYS lose money (especially NEW ones)

Something I've learned the hard way :oface ;)

I spent last year doing nothing but mobile notary work.. I saw so much refinancing...

I wouldn't sell, I would suck all the equity out however..

A turbo GTR with AWD? How much do R34s cost right now in Japan? That 70k, if true, is probably in today's dollars. Throw in some inflation over the next 4 years and poor currency exchange rates, and it might be closer to $80-85k. If it pans out with those options, it would be on par with NSX, 911, Lotus, Viper, etc, which cost that much or more.

Nice to see you on these boards! How has your father been?

Pops has been doing already... We're working on doing the turbo set up but if that fails... then a Procharger we go... Well back to the 70K I seriously highly doubt it'll be that much. if anything 50-65 .....70 for the FUll package. skyline's in Japan are pretty much found for around 50-60 over there.. I looked for a search, and totalls out to 90K for the Shipping and licensing over here. Also remember the Skyline already has a Reputation and Many people want it. if Inifniti plays their cards right... They'll put it on the menu for 50-60K and then later years boost up the price. They're trying to convert the Evo and Wrx owners to come to the NIssan/Inifiniti Side.. Well that's me.... :)

Carlos Ghoshen has stated 70,000..

so if anything it will be more, not less :(

You have to realize what is going into the development of this car

Cosworth aided in the blockLotus is aiding in the full active suspensionTurbo assist (0 lag turbo, never been done on production car)

Countless other features... Stuff costs money.

What I would like, what I'd really like, is a two seat roadster similar to the BMW Z8 with a high revving high hp 5.6L from the Titan. IF they would take that motor, drop compression to 8.5:1 or so and add a couple T3/T4 hybrid turbos and keep the car affordable like $50k or less (think souped up miata but cooler, but that low cost build), I would consider buying it. As long as it has 500+hp and somewhat solid suspension, I'd be on it. Or, more reasonable, the 5.6L in a G35. Something to directly compete with, and clean up on the M3 BMW and even the new V10 M5. If it won't be the daily driver, how about a hot rod? My current project is a 69 mach1 mustang. It's getting a C4 Corvette front suspension, firewall is coming back 6", rear is mini tubbed and will get a 4 link with coil overs. I'm gonna add stout sway bars front and back. Engine is a Ford 460 with TFS A460 heads, D0VE-A thick web block with Milodon splayed billet caps, Scat H beam rods, JE custom 8:1 pistons, and two Powerstroke turbos. I'll be going carb blowthru with a 8896 1050cfm Dominator and intercooler will be homemade water/air. Trans will be Tremec TKO600 when it comes out (soon). This should be good for a reliable pump gas 1100hp and 1200+ lb/ft of torque. 100% street driven. I've got over half of the parts I need to do this project, but it's still more than a year away. With 11" wide street tires I don't expect to hook up until a bit over 100mph. It should handle just as well if not a bit better than a stock C4 corvette. Granted, gas mileage won't be over 16-18 mpg, but I can live with that... At full throttle I'll be suckin down a bit more than 2 gallons per mile, assuming 180mph. I'm hoping not to go over $15,000 total on this project. Anywho, just thought I'd throw that out there to put it in perspective of what your money can get you. I've been digging around for deals for 2 years on my parts but still...

Oh yeah, I didn't mean the 5.6 in a G35 exactly, but something about that size.

Rumor's are flying that the 05 G35 coupe will get a bump in power from 280hp to 300hp. Everything I have heard regarding this has been pure rumor. I have done some research trying to uncover weather or not the 05 coupe will 300 or the 280 which it currently has. I have found nothing to support the 300hp claim. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. My personal opinion is that we will not see 300hp in the 05 coupe.
