What I would like, what I'd really like, is a two seat roadster similar to the BMW Z8 with a high revving high hp 5.6L from the Titan. IF they would take that motor, drop compression to 8.5:1 or so and add a couple T3/T4 hybrid turbos and keep the car affordable like $50k or less (think souped up miata but cooler, but that low cost build), I would consider buying it. As long as it has 500+hp and somewhat solid suspension, I'd be on it. Or, more reasonable, the 5.6L in a G35. Something to directly compete with, and clean up on the M3 BMW and even the new V10 M5. If it won't be the daily driver, how about a hot rod? My current project is a 69 mach1 mustang. It's getting a C4 Corvette front suspension, firewall is coming back 6", rear is mini tubbed and will get a 4 link with coil overs. I'm gonna add stout sway bars front and back. Engine is a Ford 460 with TFS A460 heads, D0VE-A thick web block with Milodon splayed billet caps, Scat H beam rods, JE custom 8:1 pistons, and two Powerstroke turbos. I'll be going carb blowthru with a 8896 1050cfm Dominator and intercooler will be homemade water/air. Trans will be Tremec TKO600 when it comes out (soon). This should be good for a reliable pump gas 1100hp and 1200+ lb/ft of torque. 100% street driven. I've got over half of the parts I need to do this project, but it's still more than a year away. With 11" wide street tires I don't expect to hook up until a bit over 100mph. It should handle just as well if not a bit better than a stock C4 corvette. Granted, gas mileage won't be over 16-18 mpg, but I can live with that... At full throttle I'll be suckin down a bit more than 2 gallons per mile, assuming 180mph. I'm hoping not to go over $15,000 total on this project. Anywho, just thought I'd throw that out there to put it in perspective of what your money can get you. I've been digging around for deals for 2 years on my parts but still...
