My 1992 Q45 has developed a rumble during moderate to hard left turns at 30 mph or higher. At first I thought it was the steering pump, but I can't get the noise doing hard turns at low speed. Right turns appear to be noise-free.

I'm thinking it might be the LF wheel bearing. Any ideas out there of what it could be or how to confirm the cause?

I would jack up the car and check for anything loose or noisy in the front wheels and suspension. Are you running OEM sized wheels and tires?

Yes, the sizes are OEM. I just switched tires and wheels from my other Q45, so I suppose it could be the tires, but why right turns only?

Note: my OP was incorrect, the noise is from the left wheel on right turns.

Maybe it's alignment. Anyway I jacked up the LF and the LF wheel and nothing is loose.

I guess this will be a mystery for now unless and until something breaks.

This noise is more of a whine or a hum, like some kind of resonance, during moderate right turns at 50 mph or more. Has anyone had a front wheel bearing get weak and make this noise?
