I woke in the morning feeling like P.Diddy. (Wuz Up!). I was walking to my car parked on the street. I guy drove by my an his engine sounded like crap. He disappeared into the horizon but I still heard his crappy engine :werd: . Wait a minute...thats my car sounding like it trying to kill itself. :wtf2: I had a remote start. I hopped in and the oil light was flickering. Checked the oil...it was bone dry. I never saw any major leak b4 and not even now, but I think i need a new oil pan gasket. It took 5 Qtz to get rid of the clinking sound, when i accelarate I it feels like the car was made in the San Andres fault, the whole thing vibrates, well like a vibrator. This is between 1-2k RPM. So now I'm Scared, alone and ready to cry :ohno: . I popped the hood again, I could hear a not so Q45 sound clunking in the engine, nowhere as loud as b4 but still noticeable when you listen. I gave the transmission a check and the he/she promised never to discuss our encounter, then i check my transmission, the fliud was low, same story, never saw a major leak. I tap it off. I doesn't feel like i have problems shifting. But the engine feels like its about to drop out @1-2krpm, anything higher is ok. :bowrofl: Please help me please :bowrofl:

I though only girls never checked their fluids regularly? Sounds like you killed it- probably has major bearing damage from lack of lubrication- look for a junker engine, or new car. Time to add another R.I.P. to your signature, and looks like you are living up to your screen name- You should be put in Q prison for murdering 2 q45s :rotfl

Yeah sounds like it cant be good, especially if you had to add 5 quarts to get it to go, who knows how long you were driving on minimal oil!!!!!!

Certainly there's going to be no "easy fix" short of replacing the engine or having some sort of overhaul.

Once I saw the oil light i filled it up, the light went away and and the noise was only noticeable when you pop the hood. i thought iwas good, order an oil pan gasket to fix what i thought was the issue. But I was drive 2 days after and the oil light started to flicker, Then came the eathquake rumble when I press the gas to move the car.

My guess is you have low oil pressure at idle. If you can cheaply check the oil pressure at warm idle with new oil. I think Q45Tech said the main bearings create 3 PSI of oil pressure, Something along those lines.

If it makes a difference I had a bad start this new year as well, today was the worst thus far!

No need to even waste any time checking oil pressure, as the telltale low oil pressure lamp being lit up{after he refilled oil} plus the abnormal engine noise says it all........fubared engine.
