Mass Air Flow vs. Volume Air Flow conversion: Mass Flow(lb/min) = 0.0756 x Volume Flow(cfm) IF the volume flow is measured at standard temperature and pressure (STP). Otherwise the Ideal Gas Law must be used to first convert the measured volume flow to STP.

Brake Specific Air Consumption: 1.25scfm/hp (10.58hp/lb/min) at the torque peak, and 1.4scfm/hp (9.45hp/lb/min) at the horsepower peak. The 2.3T is probably more air efficient (around 1.2scfm/hp or 11hp/lb/min) even at the horsepower peak due to the rich mixture that the computer uses. The unit scfm means cfm at standard temperature and pressure.

Humidity correction: 100% humid air is supposed to contain about 4% less oxygen than dry air at 100 degrees Fahrenheit, but only about 0.4% less at 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

1/8 mile to 1/4 mile conversion: 1/4 mile ET is approximately 1.55 times the 1/8 mile ET.1/4 mile speed is approximately 1.24 times the 1/8 mile speed.
