I'm looking to get new rims on my 06' 350z. I have narrowed it down in color, definitely want them in black, but I have yet to find rims that I think would look great on it. I want the Advan RS in gunmetal, but they cost a little more than I would like to spend. Does anyone have any opinions on the company called Ruff Racing? They seem to have some relatively inexpensive rims that look pretty good. I was thinking about possibly getting these. Let me know what you think,

ruff puts out a prertty good wheel. by far my favorite from them is the ruff 930s. check em out they have a nice deep lip on them. i considered getting them for mine but i have this obsession with the work vskf's so im just gonna keep savin for them. Check out the 930s though i think you'll like them, theyre pretty strong

I just looked at them, and your right, the lip is huge! I kind of prefer straight spoked rims though. But thanks for the suggestion!

If you like the Advan RS wheels, then the rota G force is one of the closest wheel designs you can come to that match, this is what they look like on a few cars (I couldn't find a 350z)

Yes! I just looked and found them in gunmetal too! However, I cant find them in 19 inch. They are all 17 inch and 18 inch. Do you know if they make them in 19 inch? Thanks

It sure reminds me of them, not saying its a bad thing though. To each his own

anything beyond 18 inch wheels for me crawls into showcar > sports car territory,

18's (and 17's) take the cake for me

I agree with Dasoupdude. For performance/racing on a 350Z 18's are the way to go.

FYI: the wheels on those Z's are Enkei RPF1's, a decently priced wheel that actually performs and looks good.

That makes three of us in agreement on 18" wheels (from a purely performance standpoint). Bigger than that and I think you lose too much tire sidewall, add to much unsprung weight and add too much rotational mass. Some sidewall is good, just think of it as a cushion for you shiny new wheels. Besides, by everyone has seen the Geico talking pothole commercial, I'm sure you all want to avoid that. ;)

I'd certainly go with Rota over Ruff, but as Soup already mentioned...to each his own. Enkei's are good quality for not a lot (compared to say Volk) of money, another to look at are some of the OZ wheels over at Tire Rack. I'm not excited about some of the offset & widths offered but you can't have everything. Oddly enough that's a problem that I have with some of the Rota knockoff wheels...not the quality that every forum seems to have "A friend of a friend..." nightmare stories of, but that some of the widths & offset combos aren't very well suited to the Z's & G's.

Thanks for the replies. I think i'm going to go with the Rota G Force. They look the best, and seem to be a quality rim.

Anyone have any experience with the Konig Illusion? They are pretty inexpensive, and don't look too bad..

The Rota GForce wheels are nice, but awful offsets.

I'd save up money and get good quality wheels, even used wheels. I got my Advan RS used at a good price.

You can find a set of used Volk or Works with tires for less than $2k nowadays.

Even those Enkei RPF1 come in black color as well. Enkei are really good brand and very very light. Those are nice option than Rota or Konig. Just my 2 cents.
