Don't go for thicker than 5mm spacers. Stock studs are not long enough. I think I saw universal 5mm spacers in Pep Boys.biggie wrote:Yes you need a 5mm spacer or different wheels.
Righty tighty, lefty loosey... You should count clicking sound, so you can set same.biggie wrote:For dampening adustment usually (like turning a screw) tightening it (clockwise) will make it harder, counter-clockwise to soften.
I put 60mm Nismo studs on mine to have a peace of mine and safety. Paid total $136 plus tax. I bought 17(one was extra) and it was $8 each. You gotta pay to play I guess. I ran 5mm spacers w/stock wheels & studs for a while and they were okay though.tenkawa_akito wrote:even witha 5mm spacer, i would almost recommend getting longer studs. i woudl do it for peace of mind if it were my car. street driving doesn't put the same forces on the studs that road racing or autocrossing does, but since i do do autocrossing, i would opt for the better safe than sorry scenario
