Hi I have an 02' Maxima SE with 48,000 miles on it and I have a new sound coming from my rear. When I let off the gas and coast there appears to be a rubbing noise coming from the rear of the car. Its a low rubbing/hum noise. When I initially apply the brake, ever so slightly, the sound will increase a little- but when I fully apply the brake it goes away. Any ideas?

Welcome to NICO.

It could be that the calipers are not fully releasing. You might just have to grease the slides.

I agree probably calipers

Get a brass brush /plastic brush, brake cleaner and rags and get ridof as much brake dust as possible. You can get some steelwool and clean off any "glaze" on the rotors. Probably wouldnthurt to torque wrench any bolts to make sure everythingstight. Make sure there a no leaks.
