I finished a auto to manual transmission swap in my 90' 240sx and am trying to trouble shoot a couple weird things I have been noticing. Any ideas on what to check for would be apreciated. When i back up, when my car is really cold (parked outside) there is a loud solid rubbing sound when i backup in or out of gear. Also, when i am driving between 20-25mph in or out of gear, the car shakes/shutters a little. I have double checked all of the bolts on the driveshaft, transmisson and diff. Any ideas?

well, the rubbing sound has me a little confused but it is probably related to the shudder. my first question is did you separate the 2 driveshaft halves? also, check the driveshaft engagement into the trans and make sure that it is not engaged too far. the worst case sceario is it could possibly be inside the trans, but first eliminate all other possibilities

yeah, make sure u have the correct driveshaft as there are different length version for different applications from the factory (ex. Hicas/Non-Hicas and ABS/Non-ABS)
