rubber trim piece on fenders???

do any of you guys have an issue with the little 1/8'' rubber trim piece between the fender flare and body discoloring? mine is faded and turned slightly white because of wax and such... just wondering if anyone has done anything to theirs... can you just pull them off and repaint them?? any comments would be appreciated!

yepo, mine look like s*** too, its the worst eyesore on my detailed path, but i tryed the nailpolish remover, which got some off and made it look a little better, but it didnt last long. i think they are like 30$ each new from www.courtesyparts.com

but yea, they end up looking like s***, and i hate it.
