Last year I had an ideal to install some rubber grommets (Bushings) between my CD changer and the body of the car. Well I never got around to it till a couple of days ago. Doing so has made a difference as the CD changer almost never skips now when going over any bumps I can't avoid.

I was going to keep this to myself as I did not want to jinx my CD Changer. :)

Rubber bushings are your friends. When I had the cone filter on my intake I put a used sway bar bushing under the cone's mounting bracket to the wheel well to cut down on vibration. It worked.

Factory mount bushings are asymmetrical to account for the CD player unit in its vertical mounting. .

The 1990-1993 Infiniti Q45's with dealer installed CD Changers (Sony) were installed under the sun deck. And the CD Changer has no rubber isolators like the 1994-1996 Q45 CD changers.
