{AND NOW! THE CONTINUING ADVENTURES OF: THE PATHFINDER REPAIR!!!}

Discovered today that water is leaking into the rear right passenger footwell. I think it's because the rubber gutter that runs along the top of the doors (on the car itself, not on the doors) is in bad melted shape. I searched, but can't find it online. Should i try to to apply silicone goop or butyl rubber or something? Anybody else have water leak in here during rain?

No matter what you use to try sealing it up it is unlikely to last very long...

I was able to find some of the side molding and seals over at the Nissan Parts website...https://parts.nissanusa.com

www.courtesyparts.com used to have very good illustration, with part number and description.

I'm assuming the Pathy in your profile is what we are looking at here??

1996 Pathfinder right rear weatherstrip: https://parts.nissanusa.com/nissanparts ... 822720W000
Part Number: 822720W000

I can't tell from the description if this is the correct part or not...

Or it could be the 80824 from this illustration: https://parts.nissanusa.com/nissanparts ... &siteid=14

Even though it is listed as front door I'm not sure if that weatherstrip is long enough to account for both doors...

You might try hitting your local Nissan Stealership and have them look it up... Their computers have far better resolution on the parts lookup and can probably pinpoint it easier...
