Can anyone give me some safe tips on how to get the two small rubber fuel hoses off of the fuel pump? They have been on there for years and have "welded" themselves onto the fuel pump and no amount of pulling or coaxing will make them give up and come off. They are in excellent condition so would like to get them off in one piece. Would using a low powered steamer to relax the rubber be ok to do or would that be dangerous near the petrol tank. Any ideas would be a great help. Many Thanks to all who advised me before, it is the fuel pump. Raymond, London England

use some break clean and spray it at the end of the hose on the metal tube going into the hose. It will loosen up and slide right off.
