Found a rubber piece in my carb. Threw it away cause i though it had just fell in there at some point. Now my truck has an insane high idle cause the butterfly is always open. Anyone know what im talking about? What is it called and where to get one?

It was just laying inside the carb. If it does not sound familiar, than it was probably just dropped in by the previous owner. I thought it may have been there to close the butterfly when off throttle but i guess not. So i guess i just have to figure out why my idle is high. The carb does not fully close as you can see in the second pick.

If you depress the gas petal all the way down when the engine is off, your choke should close completely. That worked for me when I was having issues. I hit the cable links with cleaner and worked them a bit too. Now that I have the vac lines all straightened out it seems to be running fine.

Seems fine now. I depressed the throttle all the way down and that closed the butterfly. Also found a small gap on the air filter cover. Could have been that. Thanks for the help :woot:

Yeah. The WD-40 works better and longer than engine oil.
