Back when I was youngster I worked some summers and after school at a full service Mobil station. When we would do an oil and filter change, we had a squirt type oil can filled with a product named Ru-Glyde that was a rubber lubricant and mostly used on the tire changing machine. During the oil service process, we would squirt/rub in some Ru-Glyde on the rubber bushings and wipe it around the door seals. It seemed to keep the rubber bushings in good shape and certainly help remove any squeeking that was so common with the 60s cars.

So today I've been looking for a rubber conditioner, to use on the door seals, and possibly on the bushings. I see Ru-Glyde is still being made and sold at NAPA. I also see a product named Gummi Pflege being recommended on some german car forums.

I see American Grease Stick (RuGlyde maker) also has a product named Sil-Glyde

Does anyone have a recommendation for a general purpose rubber seal, bushing, grommet, conditioner?

Qship96 loves Gummi Pflege, I have yet to try it but have heard nothing but good things from Autopia.

I use and LOVE 303 Aerospace cleaner and I thank NICO for letting me know about it.

Gummi Pfledge is available from Einszett {google it} great on rubber door seals, bushings, etc only drawback is if used on outer rybber seals around door frames it must be wiped dry, or it streaks and runs when it rains, leaving a film on door windows and paint, which can easily be washed off- I try to apply it on dry days, allow to sink in to rubber, and wipe with dry towel before the next rain{ or just wash the car }
