This tip might be old news:

So I still have my original 10 year old axles, since my dealer felt no need to get new ones when I requested for it. Wasn’t to happy with their decision since the price practically was the same.

This was when both boots leaked a few months apart many years ago.

Hence, I been trying to keep the boots in shape, which is why I spray them every once in awhile or when I’m bored.

I have been using 303 aerospace protectorant.

Got the idea from that dude who use to spray his new tires with it and ever so often to make them last long.

I use to do my old tires then got lazy lately. But it’s so easy, I might do it.

But then again, I’m kinda hoping a get a flat because I want big fat meaty all terrain tires.

In mean time, the all performance tires I have on now run so smooth that I’m still liking the ride.

Tires are like 6 yrs old with decent tread at 35,000 miles.

Let me not digress, anyways I sometimes put it on ramps to spray my boots, other times I squeeze under since I’m small.

Lately, I got another idea online to spray the top part of the rubber struts inside the engine compartment.

Call it placebo affect, me still using 10 year old original parts, but makes me sleep better at night.

Like dry skin, tight, dry, flaky, and tends to rip and bleed.

Or mosturized skin that tends to be soft, flexible, younger looking, and supple.

I want my boots like the latter. :domo:

I have a bottle of that 303 protectant. I’m not sure if it really works or not, I’ve used it on wiper blades, but again I’m not sure I’m gaining anything. If you still have the original boots you’re doing something right. Placebo or not.

Yah, I did the wiper blades too.

That Scotty car guy on you tube gave me that idea.

Just thinking, I need to do the weather seals.

The front boots were replaced a few years ago.

But the rear boots are 10 yr originals.
