RTV on camshaft?

OK, please don't make me explain what happened since it's is pretty embarrassing, but I just damaged my cylinder head where the camshaft goes while helicoiling the hole for a camshaft journal bolt. It's probably easier to understand if I just post a picture.




What can I do about this? I really hoping machining isn't necessary. Can I just fill this hole up with RTV? A friend of mine recommended JB Weld. Ideas?
