Alrighty, this is probably a royally stupid question...I am a tank mechanic in the army...I use RTV everyday....But here goes:
Tomorrow I am doing the timing chain rattle fix...Removing the two guides, and cleaning up the tensioner. Once I install everything, how long do you think it will take for the RTV to cure? Typically I wait 24 hours. But this is my baby and I want to drive. Since the front cam gear cover is near the top end of the motor, if I let the car run at idle, without revving the motor, and let it warm up, should that speed up the process...Say for instance: let it run for 30 minutes, and sit for an hour? What are your opinions? I do not want any leaks, but I love my 240, and would hate for it to be down for a day...

BTW: motor is a DE....but you should already know that...
