Hello all i am new here i just bought a 2010 Nissan Versa 1.8 hb 6 spd. I haven't done anything to it except for tenting the windows. I know nothing about these type of cars and i am learning a lot thanks to this sight.i am looking at doing a cai, exhaust, rims and tires down the road. I have looked on here for some info on chips for gas saver with a little extra hp and tq. As i no nothing about chips or tuners i found this gas saver chip from ( http://rs4performance.com/index.php?l=p ... ail&p=1471 ) i was wondering if anyone had this chip, if they know anyone who has tried it out or know of any other chip , tuner that would give me more mpg that is known to work.

Thanks

William

99.9% of the time internet chips are a scam and/or complete waste of money. There really is no good eletronic tuning available for the Versa at this time.

Getting 30+ mpg with a torquey engine is about the best you can really hope for. Most modifications will make you want to drive faster (cai, exhaust, etc) and therefore usually you get less mpg.

IF you drive the same you could see slightly better mpg, but won't be much and might not even be noticable. But like I said, the human brain hears that extra noise and wants to go fast like Ricky Bobby.
