The ad for these springs state that the spring rate for the fronts are 279 lbs/in and rear are 229 lbs/in. Plus they lower about 1.5inches. Does this seem right? That would put the spring rate at 5kg/mm up front and 4 kg/mm inthe rear...Basically I just want a second opinion on this. I'm interested in them if I'm not getting the old BS.

$199 for the springs? That's a rip off, I would never pay over $150 for lowering springs.

Yeah...same here..I was going to do the Tein Stechs once I got the cash, but these caught my eye due to the spring rate. I'm not really caring about the lowering factor as much as the spring rate. lowering is just a plus. The teins I can't find for cheaper than 170 shipped, and I can only find that intermittantly.

RS-R products are now readily available in the US. Check out their website below.

I'm not sure if the JDM springs are different than the ones sold here, but the spring rates listed are more like the RS-R "race" springs than the RS-R "down". The spring rates are listed in the application guide on the website.

Phase2motortend.com (a very reputable merchant) has the "race" for $235 and the "down" for $225. The "race" seem like nice springs, but it's going to be tough to find a shock to match up with a spring rate that stiff.

Here's a recent discussion about the RS-R "race" springs...

just a word of caution, check the guy's feed back on ebay. from what ive read, he seems to get you ur product one month after the auction ends. i was also interested in these springs but i am also wary about finding a shock that can hold up to that spring rate without giving way in a year or two. just some words of wisdom
