Would there be a particular downside to pairing these shox and springs? for a '92 coupe.

Thanks

gr-2's are made for stock or near stock spring rates, which the race springs are pretty much the definition of the exact opposite of as far as springs go

if you want to run those springs youll need koni yellows

the yellows? tire rack

ill warn you though theyre expensive, youd be better going with a more mild spring with a set of agx's

Do not use GR-2's with any sort of race spring. GR-2's are designed to be 15% stiffer over stock. So a mild drop would be o.k. but nothing at a Race spring drop level. If you do want that much of a drop you need Koni's or something more along that line.

So GR-2s are out of the question for the Race springs.

So then, would KYB AGX's be acceptable for use with the Springs? The drop is not that huge, less than that of some of the other springs in the suspension FAQ (originally i was going to go with Tein STechs, but i dont want a progressive rate spring and i am looking for a nice stiff spring for DD/Track). However, i have a feeling that the damping rate of the shock is also playing part in which shock i can use:

RS*R RACE SPRINGSSpring Rate - F: 5.0Spring Rate - R: 4.5(s13) 4.2 (s14)Ride Height - F: -1.4"Ride Height - R: -1.2" (s13) -1.0" (s14)

So at a minimum i would have to use KYB AGX's if i wanted to use the RS*R Race Springs and keep the damping rate on the shock up at like 3?

no, you really cant use agx with them either, like i said youd need koni yellows

if you want a little softer spring you could run agx's, ill be running rs*r down springs with agx set at 3 f and 6 r
