rwd cars don't use flexpipes... you really can't have TOO big of a downpipe/exhaust for a turbo car. backpressure is not your friend! if you have the money for that, go for it awesome piece of exhaust there...

The RSR downpipe is only a downpipe, not also an o2 pipe. I know it clearly shows it as both as a single piece, but I called phase2 (i think, maybe some other vender) and they told me it was downpipe only. Do yourself a favor and get the exact same thing for half the price on ebay. For the o2 pipe, get the megan racing unit, if you need it. I say get the o2 pipe if you use an mbc, if you use an ebc keep the stock piece and cut and reweld the downpipe flange. (don't try to weld the cast iron stock o2 pipe)

I'm running a BRM 3 inch downpipe and test pipe on mine. Fit and quality is very good! Not shiny bling like the other pipes, but my entire exhaust is flat black (Blitz Realize TT) so I just used black BBQ paint on the downpipe and test pipe as well

if you want a good o2 housing and dp combo, look for a company called fly'n (or something) performance on ebay. very good prices and they sell the exact piece you are looking at (though obviously not rs*r). i think they sell them for $160 or something. i emailed them and they told me that they would fit the lhd CA as i was going to get one before the money went dry.

Flying Nissan is the pipe you refer to. They're based out of Austrailia (have to look them up on ebay.au or select world wide search). Their pipes sell for a buy it now of $299 AUS ($228.97 US) + shipping across the pond (to me in VA, he said it would be shipped Air freight for AUD$149 ($115.567 USD) and will take about 10 days). Thats almost $350 when everything is said and done, and they don't accept paypal or checks or money orders, only bank transfers. Thats why i was so excited about this RS*R being so cheap. anyways, here's a link to a current auction (there's almost always one) Click

thats gotta be PITA to install since its all one piece. Especially if the motor is in the car.

I wish they made an external O2 dump housing like on the DSM's.

This comes close

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33742

You'd have to hack where the dump goes back into the main exhaust and seal it up there. Then extend the dump further down. $50 for the O2 housing and maybe another $50 to hack it and extend the dump.

I've got the fly'n unit and it's a good piece. The motor isn't installed yet, but it's good quality and constrution. The only drawback is that you'll have to use an O2 sensor from an old Z31. I've got a post all about it somewhere. I think I only paid $275 shipped for mine, but I've had it for a long time.

when there's something worth looking at, i'll let you know. This is how it sits right nowjust sitting around waiting on parts to be ordered, shipped, paid for and worked on. maybe one day the 1eight will be back on the road.

i dealt with the same problem this time last year trying to find a shell. Ended up getting it from a used car dealer for $700 I think.
