Which would you guys choose? I'm looking for something that sounds nice, but won't break the bank. I've heard good things about Megan Racing and the same for RS-R, so I'm asking my fellow 240 owner for their opinion.

I've a '95 S14 btw. ^_^

There's no comparison--the RS*R is a quality, quiet, subtle exhaust while the Megan is a cheap copy of the most wide spread, loud fartcan ever (Apex'i) using inferior metal and sound muffling. Not to mention it looks just like every other fartcan on every other rice rocket on the road. =\

Looks and sounds like every other fartcan? ^_^

I don't know how both of those exhausts sound and sure do not want the "RICE" sound coming from my car. I've learned dearly when I had my Prelude...

Don't get me wrong, I guess the Apex'i N1 is a quality made exhaust, but I hate the way fartcans look and sound, no matter what jdm name is attached to them. And the exhausts are gunna sound pretty similar to your prelude... 2.2 vs 2.4, no too big a difference.

Exmag is a quality exhaust. Super quiet on the SR and not too bad on the KA(not quiet though).

i have a megan exhaust, its so damn loud. i am buying a Blitz Realize TT exhaust soon. i really can't stand the loudness anymore. it was great on the KA, but seeing as my exhaust is straight, no cat or anything from the turbo. its damn loud. i can be heard from 5-6 blocks away. i will be switching to a blitz realize TT and a resonated test pipe.

I've been reading the BRM sticky at the top of the General section and I like it compared to all the other pics/vids/soundlicps I've seen. Do some more searching, especially on other forums before you decide.

If you mean "work" as in is quiet, then not really. But if you mean about fitment, exhausts are chassis specific, so yes.

I had the MR exhaust before, and it sounded pretty nice on my KA. It has a deep tone to it (I had 2.5" piping), not like the ricey high pitched tone.

Mine's Silence VXAny Fujitsubo other than the RM-01AHKS Sports (I think that's what it's called)

I am an HKS whore, so I vote for the Hiper. I have a Hi Power on my S13 and man o man is it great. Just get something with a resonator at least. I have the bad boy look with the big muffler (4" tip!) and 3.5 inch piping, but because of my turbo and my resonator, the only time I can't hear the radio is when I REALLY get on it. My neighbors (who are ALL over 60) told me that my car is more quiet than the neighbors V6 Pathfinder (with some sort of ****ty exhaust) Plus, HKS is one of the BEST manufacterers of aftermarket parts in the world. The welds on the catback damn near brought tears to my eyes (literallly....I need to get a life)

I decided to get a Buddy Club Spec II exhaust. It has a low bass tone and does not sound ricey at all. I'll post up pics when I can find my digi cam around my room.

no, not the universal one. I bought mine from http://www.lineupgarage.com. I just have a high flow cat and the full cat-back exhaust and I must say, it sounds DAMN GOOD!!!

LUCKY!! My buddy has that on his KA-T. Sounds really deep just tootling around, but at WOT it is the meanest sounding 4 I have ever heard (the T3 Super 60 and Tial 48mm wg and lots-o-huff don't hurt). The silencer is actually like this big plug thing that is like 5 inches long. Just one big piece of pipe

Yo yo! Nah man, I haven't had time to put it on yet. Was gonna do it last weekend, but stupid rain and cold weather came in. Hopefully, this weekend will look better. I'm running a Magnaflow High Flow Cat I got from pdm-racing and no smell as far can I can tell.

Rico05: Oh yea dude, at low revs, the sound is nuts. I love it! The silencer, seriously, does nothing ^_^. I slapped that thing on and I noticed no diff. I hope one day I can run KA-T.
